Bob is a Seven Point Operating Partner focused on medical products manufacturing. Bob is currently a Vice President with Medtronic, the world’s largest medical device and healthcare technology company by revenues. Prior to joining Medtronic, Bob served as the Chief Executive Officer of Velocity Medtech, a contract manufacturer of orthopedic implants, instruments, and sterilization cases and trays. Previously, Bob was the Chief Executive Officer of Glebar Company, a manufacturer of end-to-end automated grinding machine tools for use in medical device manufacturing. Before joining Glebar, he spent over a decade with Stryker, rising through positions of increasing responsibility in global operations. Bob has spent his career solving strategic, operational and commercial challenges in the highly-regulated medical products industry. His leadership has propelled transformational change in the profitability of the businesses in which he has been involved, leading to sustained long-term growth of those enterprises.
While at Stryker, Bob served as Vice President of Operations in support of Stryker’s Joint Replacement Division, the company’s largest business unit. Prior to Stryker, Bob served as an officer in the United States Army. Based in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Bob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communication from Clarkson University and has attended executive leadership programs at the Bell Leadership Institute and Harvard University.
